iBassist jamming with Mid East Drummer, Soft Drummer and Synth One

Hi, finally iBassist is released. Thanks for the good comments. It’s been a hard work for months, I hope you like it and find useful.

Note: Make sure you open iBassist as standalone before loading with inter-app / audiobus, otherwise will not send sound. Will fix as soon as possible.

    Slab of beat😁

  • Fantastic app!!!!!

  • That short video answers all my questions; now I’ve got to get Future drummer to complete my set (and dump all my other drum apps). Thank you Luis!

Beatslab the new low form-factor Beatbox :D

  • I can see this and Rock Drum Machine very quickly becoming my go to for composition !

  • Jeepers, that thread about "game changers" didn't quite grasp the significance of the magic that Luis has got going on here... this is a substantial game changer in my book.

Question: does iBassist support MIDI program change messages?

I think some are hoping to change the wrong game :D

    Well, that is certainly true.

You can use live pads, you have a progression and associated jam setting on each pad, and can then trigger these via MIDI, not sure if this is via note or PC though

I can see now that there really isn't a "preset" that captures your line, progression, live pads, etc. Or perhaps that is Song Mode? And can that be changed via MIDI PC?

Song mode is kinda like a preset I guess, and yes this is what stores everything...not sure how this would sync up with all the 'drummers' though. Also no mention of the songs being selectable via MIDI

  • Thanks for adding Synth One to your demo, @LuisMartinez, iBassist looks like it's deep in the pocket!

    BASS!

What a blast I’m having with iBassist. It’s like a wonderful adventure seeing what other apps I can groove and syncopate with it. Beathawks drums work kind of😎, PPG infinite😎, tried Model D and my poor old iPad can’t quite handle it🙁 Might be good to get Soft Drummer etc.....
One of the best purchases I’ve made in a long long time!!
    Thank you Luis

Not really. BiaB knows how to connect basslines and do voice-leading. This app is not nearly as smart.

  • Great demo.
