DrumJam > midi > Cubasis

Hey all, I have a great DrumJam audio loop in Cubasis for a sweaty dance number. However, I would like that loop to be midi notes instead so that I can have the ability to do some editing. I have searched this forum, google, YouTube, and trying different settings on both apps to no avail. Is it possible, and if so, can someone please explain so I can move forward with this tune I am working on. Actually, if I can do this, I would cross a major hurdle in my music making. So much appreciation for your help.

  • I am pretty sure the loops in the upper area are audio only.
The pads you play in the lower area put out midi.

  • Thanks CracklePot for your speedy reply. If that’s the case, I may just have to slow down the loop I have and reproduce it with the Cubasis in-house drum machines to get that midi loop. Just a little more work but not impossible.

You could turn to audio into midi files via ableton or I guess logic.

  • I went to the DrumJam Forum and they said the same as CracklePot. Oh well...
I appreciate the help. All the best.

  • You could have lots of fun with the loop in Sector!

  • CracklePot is correct, the loops are all audio, the pads is the only part that outputs live midi. Sorry about that!

Thanks for confirming Sonosaurus. Loving DrumJam & ThumbJam.
