Huge week! Breathless!!

These are indeed the best of times (the worst of times...)...
1) The Gadget sale rages on.
2) SpaceCraft.
3) Quanta is released.
4) Safari craps out.
5) Quanta faith restored.
6) We wait for Drambo, BM3 update.
7) Stockholm!! Maybe that was last week? hehe

I dunno. This is like watching the world news. So much news that it is incredible. I've said it many times, but there is so much happening on the ios platform that I am breathless! So thankful for all you devs and kind folk here who have and continue to help me brave these waters.

  • I think Geoshred is on sale right now too,

And yet, I have fewer apps than I have ever had on my device right now. Guess I'm just getting comfortable with what works for me.

I just got a used iPad, my first one, so what’s been huge for me is checking out some classics on the big screen. Things i didn’t really gel with on the phone. The big winner is Caustic. Pretty kick ass in portrait mode and just looks and feels great. Also my favorite app ever, iKaossilator is even more playable. Probably gonna pick up Samplr and some other fun ones too.

If we’re dealing with this week, don’t forget Pro-Q 2.

    King

  • ...and iBassist.

  • Quantum got a really good update, a couple very recently.
    Physicles Bouncy is pretty great.
StreamByter AU is the silent killer.
AudioKit Synth One...need I say more about this wonder?
iLep, didn’t get it, but looks pretty good.

I agree, this summer is raging for iOS! B)

  • I’ve been good on holding out on the apps so far but bought s Korg microkey2 and a SSD for my iMac. Also picked up the scarbee e88 kontakt intrument. Got the free reason lite with the Korg so had to buy the new gadget IAP last night.

When it get's automation we can do things like this :)

(It's the classic singing sam demo, seems like embedding doesn't include time, starts at ~2:35).

Yeah, actually much smarter than I am with all those music making apps. Piled up so much of them that my iPad weighs a ton right now.

I've read rumors here. Anyone care to confirm?

  • I came close biting on a few of the remaining korg products I'm missing, but keep second guessing myself. iElectribe (both versions) don't seem to me like serious music tools from what I've read. I keep wavering on iKaossilator as well, which seems like it might be more useful than the former but I'm not entirely convinced.

Anyone know if the latest korg module IAP (Dreamy synths, Orchestral dreams, etc) are usable in Gadget? That'd make them significantly more valuable to me if so.

iElectribe is cool for the nostalgia. Nowadays we have better iOS Drum Synths (Seekbeats, Ruismaker, Elastic, etc)

And I feel you bro! I already have iPolysix, and am almost successfully resisting iMonoPoly. But Odyssei is reaching my wallet. And maybe Vancouver for Gadget

Not to mention Groove Rider; the machine iELECTRIBE should be!

Yes, certainly ‘orchestral dreams’ show up in Glasgow in Gadget.

  • Patterning 2 coming next week, 7/27!

    “You know something we don’t?”

Possibly a few things, yes! ✌🏼

    —————

But in this case, I’m referring to just refreshing the AppStore 'Updates' page.
It used to be that the AppStore would refresh automatically, I guess it still does, (in its own time). But I’m waiting on a couple updates (Effectrix n Cyclop) 🤞🏼. Yes, I could be refreshing for months, who knows, but it’s become a habit now.

    Refresh!

    I haven't regretted a single Korg standalone app I've bought & the only ones I don't have are the 3 I mentioned.
Odyssei is one of the better, imo. I'm very much looking forward to getting the Behringer clone the moment it hits sweetwater. Just placed an order for the model D last night, due to ship late August, which will hopefully give me enough time to save for Odyssey and 808 clones. ;)

Out of all my gadget IAP , a couple of them may have been money more wisely spent elsewhere. Once I got to around 90% , I just couldn't resist the temptation & went for the full set. Overall it's been worth it though. I never go into a song knowing exactly what I'm going to do , so it's nice to have a wide variety of options to get the creative juices pumping and I try to regularly cycle through all of them.

Good to hear, thanks :) Just gave in & got that one. Listening to demos trying to decide on others.

[edit: Dreamy Synths was definitely worth it. Can get very close to the Badalamenti, Twin Peaks type sound with it . love it :) ]

Woot! I keep looking, hoping we'll get an early release surprise ... It's the only app I've ever preordered.. I'm sure it'll be worth the grueling wait ;)
