Am I missing any multitimbral AU3 Synths?

Comments

  • Kronecker and Syntronik both have 4 part multi capability.

I was just thinking about this earlier today.. both Sunrizer and Zeeon have two layers, but they're stuck on one channel. I usually only use one but I would love it if each layer could be on a separate midi channel. Especially Zeeon, since I can only really ever get away with using one instance of it.

  • BeatHawk, not a synth exactly , but has synth sounds .

  • Syntronik is not multitimbral - the four layers cannot receive separate MIDI tracks. It’s just four layers of one patch.

BS-16i and iM1 are both multitimbral.

On a very simple level, so is Xenon.

nope, Sunriser is just one layer of sound that you can morph into something else.
to get a 2nd layer of sunrizer or zeeon on different midi channels just open another instance, they are both AU. ;)
open as many instances as you like and your cpu can handle.

Thanks. Ya, I realize I can do that. It’s a ‘keeping it simple’ issue and how it integrates to live use of midi controllers. Really trying to find unusual percussive sounds that are not samples. For samples, I am using BeatMaker, and I can make any sort of sound on the desktop to import there. But I’m trying to use that for bread and butter stuff so I can use one BM bank...again, live usage constraints.

Not seeing where Xenon or iM1 have au3 versions.

yeah, my point was that I wish it was possible to have two channels on one instance. Two instances of zeeon often craps out my older ipad pro in AUM.

aha, bummer. seems like a lost opportunity to me - I was going from memory as I tried syntronik but soon deleted it as it wasn't my thing.

bs-16i is Auv3, but not multitimbral unless running it in standalone (or several instances of course)

  • Sorry about extraneously mentioning iM1 and Xenon - I spaced out on the ‘must be AU bit’.
