1. Recording ways 2. Imachine2 vs Beathawk
I have been recording techno/trance music only one type of a way for well over a decade but with the iPad there have been things stirring inside of my head....since I saw the iMaschine2/beathawk apps it has me wondering is there a better way....I don't know much about these but I assume they are all about step recording.....the way I have always done it is, lay down a drum loop and layer some synth/basslines and some fx.....but for those with experience with other types of recording, would I be missing out on trying this? Wold I be missing out on writing better music opposed to what I'm currently doing....so my question is.....is trying a new type of this recording worth the additional money and time ? Just curious in my head if I could make better music? What are your thoughts ?
I'm just curious because the iPad opens new news that culslead to new possibilities ? What do you think? Next question is which s better imaschine2 or beathawk?
With all of this inside my head I'm just trying to figure out the best way to come up with the best level of quality music and I wonder what possibilities does the iPad offer me... thoughts?
I have very recently discovered the iPad for recording techn music and since it offers new possibilities I wonder very seriously if this is the way to record my music and if it will indeed offer me new possibilities that will take my new music to a new level, so for all of you, when you were in my position, did you find that these new ways brought your music to a new level or was it just the same ? Did your music be just as good or were you able to come up with better music thru these new possibilities??
Yes I have many new questions even though, I search and continue to research, I'm asking these questions because your experience and responses could give me a heads up and a shortcut so I could cut to the chase and get to the nitty gritty much more quickly so I can just get more quality of making the best music much much more quickly because I can learn from your responses so please give me your suggestions, tips and thoughts......others can learn from your experience, do you realize that your experience can become other people's experience, you have the ability to make someone's life better, you can make other people's music better just by replying and sharing your experiences and that in itself is huge, you have the ability to play a huge art in smeon s success in life......thoughts? And thank you in advance

I think Beathawk is the better of the two.. iMaschine have not seen an update in over 1 year (and a lot has happened in that year for iOs music).. As a Maschine user (see my profile pic), I wish NI would give iMaschine the love it deserves... There just not much you can do with the app..
You may also want to look at 'Beatmaker 3'... the pending update is said to be 'Game-Changing'..
