    In case this helps anyone:

    I had an issue using egoist in bm3 whereby random midi notes were triggering patterns in egoist. And I didn’t know where they were coming from. It turns out I had another pad track with midi set to all. I hadn’t noticed this and took a long process of trial and error to whittle it down.

    So it had nothing to do with the audiobus midi connection in audio settings of bm3. Even though as I mentioned I still have no idea what that is and why it’s there when Audiobus isn’t being used here. And it appears all the time without fail.

    But all is well now and I absolutely cannot put egoist down at the moment. So much so that I wish it was iPhone compatible so I could have it with me everywhere.

    I wonder if this is a novelty for me or if I will get bored of the ‘sound’ soon. But I actually don’t think I will. I almost think it will be an integral part of my musical work flow, now that I’ve mastered it. It’s freaking sublime.

    Just tried recording inside Cubasis 2.6 using Egonist full screen and normal no joy, how do you set this up to record?

    Haven’t tried Cubasis/Egoist but you will probably need to chop slices to Cubasis midi drumpads (if possible) or press record in Cubasis and trigger a pattern with Egoist midi/pattern keys.

    @AudioGus has surely mastered a more efficient way since he uses Cubasis.

    I’m getting midi down but it appears to be missing part compared to what I’m hearing ?

    I gotta check that out. Don’t have my iPad with me at the moment. How’s the full screen look? Is it really full screen or must u still scroll to expose entire UI?

    I use the VST on PC and it is pretty much identical. I assume Mac is the same.

    I do have it but find it best for starting tracks and I have mostly been starting tracks on iOS for quite a while now.

    Obscurium is my least favorite of the recent Sugar-bytes VST apps. Run through the tuts on that one before buying to make sure it’s something you can use.

    Obscurium is quite unique ... I love it, and as with most Sugar Bytes products, it doesn’t play by the rules. It’s a shapeshifting morphing arpeggiating step-sequencing modulating bleeping ... THING which is capable of remarkable rhythmic patterns, pads, sequences ... try the VST demo and run through some of the presets to see what I mean.
