Syntronik... Transpose mapped synths?

I'm stumped. I have to be overlooking something obvious... I get how to adjust splits/layers, but how do you transpose a layer?

Lets say I want an arp and a lead to be controlled by different keyboard regions, but I want them both to be PLAY starting at say, C3... how in the heck do you do that? I'm not seeing an option to transpose a synth/voice by like +12 if it's a voice that I've mapped to a lower octave but want it to actually PLAY at a higher octave than it's mapped...

What am I missing?

  • The only way to transpose a layer is on the front panel of that particular synth and use the Tune knob, you have a -36 to +36 steps range.

  • Bummer. That's what I was afraid of. Doing that will basically mess up the filter cutoff though won't it... In other words, the keyboard tracking of the filter will now be "off" as you've kind of disconnected desired pitch from keyboard... I was really hoping there was a way to still send the synth the actual note/midi value you actually want...

This whole synth is just weird... It would have been so much f'ing easier if they just allowed you to assign a different midi channel to each synth!

It's like they went out of their way to intentionally cripple the thing.

I'd buy the full, super-mega whatever the hell they call it edition if you could just specify midi channel per synth!

    ARRGH!!!!
