Synthmaster

I got synthmaster when I first got my iPad but now I have dug deeper, the addons I have noticed....those are expensive, is synthmaster one the same thing but with the addons? Is there a difference? Is it worth the price?

  • I guess you are talking about Synthmaster Player? This is not the same as Synthmaster One and the patches available for each are largely different - it’s not possible to buy the SM player expansion packs for use in SM one. Also SM Player is a preset player (allows minimal tweaking of patches) while SM One is a fully tweakable synth. I have both and use both (and yes SM One is well worth the price, the sounds are breathtakingly good). Just waiting for SM player to get the AUv3 treatment now :)

SM Player presets are not currently compatible with SynthMaster One.
Yes, SM1 is worth every penny. They even reduced its price yesterday!

  • is sm1 compatible with ios9?

  • Yes 9 or later according to App Store

That stinks because the additional presets are expensive, until you start playing with what you have you really don't know what your really getting.....they have a ton of them so it's hard to know which ones suite my musical tastes before hand and at 5-12 a pop it gets better or expensive for me.....I wish for these type of things that there was a time limited trial so you can test them out within your very own style

  • In SM Player there is a demo preview of each pack, here is an example

SynthMaster Player was the (synth) that showed (me) the quality that can be obtained on iOS.
Those presets just have Oomph! and Lushness!, Quality! and Power!

... With the exception of 'a' (possibility) that Sector will go AU, SynthMaster Player and Effectrix are the final 2 on (my) iPad waiting for the AUv3 glory. (Cyclop has just come through the gate)

... Now.. SynthMaster One, is my “Number One” Synth, and I was yearning (like many) to have such a synth on my iPad, after installing and using SMP so long ago...
Unfortunately I still haven’t given it (SM1) a 5 star review (I only give 5star reviews) yet! We all know things are still being fixed and features implemented.
Not fully relaxed with it, just yet..

    “Everything takes time”

I will continue to assist/connect with @kv331audio_bulent via email, as others are doing. and I look forward to the solidness etc..

One of the key things for me is: “It’s Here”...

    “Know what you wish for”

... If I say SynthMaster One is my number “One”.. I shouldn’t have to list out everything about it.
Being in the #1 position is a major synth (for me), however we all have different tastes, requirements and satisfaction levels.

I Love it, and I Love what it is (going) to do for me n my projects/music.
..An boy! .. when that blue skin arrives!

Price: when we first heard about it coming to iOS, IlRC, it was around £30.
During the looooooog wait, my mind had already purchased it at that price.. so the price I paid for it was a very sweet deal indeed.

Once SM1 works as solid as (and beyond) SMP, and I’m getting that SMP “Oomph!” .. there will be a couple more synths chopped from my iPad.

This chopping thing is no joke.
(Excluding Daws with built-in synths), I have only 7 synth left in my instruments folder, and I have 3 that are in my “To Delete” folder, - waiting..
It’s possible that another 2 of the 7 will go 'too'.
(Give or take: there may have been 25-30-ish synths on my iPad at any one time)
I’m simplifying my iPad Studio down, for a more focused setup.
(I write this ^ so others may see something in their setup)

Get iPad, get a few apps, then get 100s of apps, filter what I have, left with a few apps!

    As I’ve said, a few more AUv3 transitions and I’ll be good ... (I think.. )..
...coz, FabFilter breaking out, is the next set of “tools” I’m watching - (always something to look forward to, and or keep an eye on).

Also concerning that “Oomph” - it’s most likely there, I just need to spend the time, but I need to be relaxed with it first to spend the time. - (comfort is important!)

Main thing once again is: SynthMaster One is Here!

    It’s a journey!

    I’m enjoying it all!

    King
