Apologies for any mistakes in content, but does something like this help anyone? With new complicated apps I sometimes do this so I can figure out how to use them. I’ve never posted a link before, so I’m unsure how this will post.

    I'd like to add that Egoist also works well in a setup with external hardware over Midi Clock Sync.

    One thing Iam not sure about is - can samples only be chopped into 16 slices or whatever amount needed/wanted?

    I looked for some hidden control or something to make it more, but I think the answer is no. You could always load the same sample into two patterns and randomize one of them, I suppose. The effect would be ALMOST a little bit sorta like that.

    You're right in a way it’s limited a little. But in another way keeping it streamlined focuses the creativity. You could copy n paste the sample you want longer than 16 slices to another pattern and then mess with that one further. Almost as if you had up to 32 slices. It’s very roundabout but might work. And when AU comes you’ll be able to layer samples on top of each other with multiple instances. That will be lethal. Freaking lethal

    Yes true to ll the above but if for instance I want less than 16slices? Its a good app though

    @Stormbeats using less than 16 slices is extremely simple. You can manually drag the slices where you want them. So for example if you only want 4...Slide 4 markers where you want them. Done. If you want to use random or sensitivity slide proceed and just sequence the slices you want to use ignoring the ones you don’t.

    In fact, I haven’t used all 16 slices in anything I’ve done with Egoist yet

    Ok cool and thanks for info Do I then record a sequence by tapping on the slices that I want to use? Also is there a way to turn of that thick line that goes across the screen when in play/record mode ? Its a little bit distracting? Whats the maximum swing percentage? No rush but if you can let me know thanks - the online videos are ok but not very detailed
