Modstep - does it have a bitcrusher / decimate effect?

If not can I add an AU/IAA to the Master Channel if there is one and when exporting audio will the effects be included in the exporting?
Thanks in advance for any info

  • Copy/paste from the modstep thread:

No decimate/bit crush. Built in delay, reverb, eq/filter.

Modstep can host iaa and AU though. You could use elsa by erik sigth ( as an effect ), nils by erik sigth, blamsoft resampler, k-devices shaper has a bit crush algo, BitWiz ( as an effect ), etc. All very useful for lo bit rate sounds, and bitcrush effects.

    Yes, there is a master.

Effects can be added to the master ( or individual tracks ) as you would expect.

Everything/anything can be recorded on tracks, and/or master.

The recorded material can be exported to the internal sampler, or audioshare, etc.

Tracks can be routed to an iOS DAW via iaa to record in real time. I've only used with AUM, and audiobus 2.
