USB space for use with cubase
I have tried my external hard drive to use, my samples for use in cubasis but I could not get it to be able to get recognized but I do have sd card, as well as a USB thumb drive is there a way to get either of these to work?

You already started a thread on this same topic. Unfortunately the answers haven’t changed since last you asked.

Sorry I thought this was a separate issue with mention of sd card, my apologies
Oh yeh, that makes sense. I missed that detail. Sorry if it seemed snarky.
It’s all the same whether it’s usb, HD, or sd. The basic problem is if you just plug in any kind of normal storage, all iOS really allows is transfering photos. You need either a special device with an app that lets you get at the files, or to have it on some other device like a PC or even a wireless router that can treat it like a network shared drive. Then you need an app that can access those shared drives.
Once you’re over that hurdle, it’s still a hassle. It’s not like a PC where you can just recognize it as live storage and save files there from apps like Cubasis. You’re still stuck with copying the files in and out of the device.
File management in iOS is a pain.
