How to route Physicle into Gadget using Audiobus 3?
Hey guys, I've been racking my brains around all week trying to figure this one out.
Since Physicle is a AUmidi only, it needs a host like Audiobus 3 or something. Physicle can't run as a standalone app.
I load it up into Audiobus as an input but I can't see a way to output to Gadget. Gadget never appears in the output box.
Any ideas what I could do here to get Physicle to talk to Gadget?
Cheers
(Note: I don't have AUM)

Hi,
It is a bit of a stretch, but you can do the following:
1) Download sequencism, my other app. It is free.
2) In sequencism, create a track with a MIDI OUT instrument, connected to the virtual port of Gadget, and in the channel you want to receive the MIDI.
3) Then, create a track with an instance of Physicle Bouncy, and connect the MIDI output of that track (MIDI symbol in the AU panel at the upper right part) to the Track with the MIDI OUT instrument.
4) Add a bar at the beginning of the Physicles track (by default, sequencism silences AU MIDI units unless within a bar, in order to facilitate sequencing with “always on” AU MIDIs).
Now, you should be able to receive MIDI in gadget, record notes, etc.
Also, I recommend you to use the new “frozen playgrounds” mode, with LINK enabled in sequencism and with “Play Sync ON” in Physicles. This way, you will be able to accurately record your phrases.
@rrc2soft you star! That's the whole solution - thank you so much! I followed your instructions word for word and it worked out on the first try!
1) Launch Gadget
2) Launch Sequencism
3) Open Physicle Bouncy (inside Sequism)
Thank you again!
