Looking to send random sequences to a hardware synth via midi. Sequencing that changes on its own over time; generative style.
Any app suggestions?

    Also, the PolyHymnia add-in to Xequence has some nice “structured randomness” (for lack of a better term) capabilities.

    Xynthesizr has a cellular automata/pattern morphing mode, and you can have it work on only a selected region of the grid too, if you want to mix preplanned and generative sequencing.

    Start midi sequence insert midiflow Randomizer, Scales, Transposer.

    Quantum and midiSequencer can vary existing values at the touch of a button.

    Oscilab and Dot melody are great user guided generators. Especially Oscilab in that you put down a rhythmic pattern and move a few waves and viola something almost unpredictable happens.

    Yep! Absolutely one of the best random generative AI music composing tool :)

    I finally deleted it. Still having Genome and Infinity Looper beside my mains: Xequence, Quantum, midiSTEPs and of course modstep.

    Yeah. The thing with Thesys is that I don’t know what the app wants me to do :smile:
    It’s like the app wants me to be confused. StepPolyArp is do easy in comparison.
