Today I tried to export from P2 and import into C2.

If I use the Files app I can see that my samples have been extracted into the Cubasis audio directory, however they are not showing up in the media browser on Cubasis.

Is this because they are .aiff maybe? or something else like sample rate?

Anyone got a solution to this one?

    Thanks in advance.

Yah, I seem to recall the issue is .aiff when I tried... pretty sure I had to convert them in Audioshare...

  • Patterning has multi-out, so you could easily set up each track in P2 as its own channel in Cubasis and record straight into the app.

  • Be sure to put them in the '/Audio/User/' folder and also remember that Cubasis does not yet support sub-folders...

Ah, if that’s the case, that’s a pain!

I was just about to export to Cubasis myself, shame :(

  • I do wonder why Patterning 2 doesn't have the option to use *.wav for the export and what the 'reasoning' behind choosing *.aiff as the default was...

  • Weird that Cubasis can't read aif. You might see if changing the extension from aiff to aif helps. I've run into apis over the years ago that recognized aif but not aiff as an extension and vice versa.

Sure, just more clicking. I’m lazy I guess 😄

True, but you can make a single template in AB3 with a channel for each running to Cubasis, and then swap out the kits and the patterns.
