Is there a way to preview a channel in AUM while recording live?

I just got AUM a few days ago and am using it to do live mix/jam session and record it in real time. I also just got Spacecraft which I love but I'm new to granular in general so every new sound I create is unexpected. What I want to be able to do is have multiple channels playing back other plug ins in AUM and recording and then be able to listen to another channel with Spacecraft while I dial in the sound I want without it being recorded and then introduce that sound on the fly. One thing I have found that doesn't seem possible at all is to arm a track to record while actively recording.

    You could use a bus send in an fx slot. Set up that bus channel to record and turn the send down when you are auditioning sounds.
