Hook (Retronyms), Launchpad Pro, Electrify NXS, Other, Sequential Clip Launching, Imported Content

Which app will:

  1. Allow sequential, automatically triggered clips, like Abelton Live? Application is A-A-B-A, etc. song form for Jazz music that I compose, and

  2. For clips that consist of audio that I have written. I'm a Jazz saxophonist / pianist / composer.

I see that Hook is $13, Launchpad Pro is $15, but I don't see Electrify NXS at all (discontinued).

Thanks!

I've been looking at this one. Funny, I own an actual MPC 2000!

The iMPC Pro 2 is $25 what does it do that Hook does not? Hook looks more like Abelton,

Yep, IMPC Pro 2... I could never really wrap my head around it... but the Song Mode is interesting...

  • Now I'm not Sure if it is by Akai or Retronyms or both...!

  • It’s Retronyms... for AKAI > @Skyscrapersax said:

    It’s Retronyms.... for AKAI.

  • So ... both. Now the question is, which is better to create song forms from clips and have them trigger sequentially. There must be some major difference between these two apps for the same manufacturer to do both.
