AppStore rankings - sudden changes
So umm... two days ago, guitarism's rank in China shot up from #527 to #2 in a couple hrs. It's still #3 even today. Trying to figure out what happened 
Anyone here who might be able to shed a clue? Have any other devs seen sudden bumps (or drops) in ranking?

Australian app store has been doing strange things for last 4 days. You cannot search by category now. New apps are not displaying.
I know that member @jackfancy was in China...maybe he still is. Might possibly be able to help find some info...adverts on App Store etc?

A similar thing happened to me back in August with China.... 500->26. There was 1 unit sold that day, up from zero. Either an App Store glitch, experiment, or insanely tiny market.
Yeah I just sold 11 units in China yesterday while the ranking stayed #2-#3 all day, so definitely a glitch or experiment of some kind. I can't imagine the market would be that tiny! Though it was up from zero the day before, so perhaps the ranking algorithm very strongly factors in the previous day's download volume...
