    1. Lemur and one of the many sequencer templates
    2. Sugarbytes Thesys (fiddly but powerful and it supports MIDI clock from/to ext. gear)
    3. Quantum Sequencer
    4. Audulus also has such a sequencer module.

    does audiobus have midi out?

    Yes.
Quantum allows you to draw your bars - it just has a fader to represent the top of the bar rather than a filled in bar.

    excellent thanks!

  • Of course, Xequence allows this as well by tapping on the note icon at the bottom left in the pianoroll editor, and then choosing velocity instead (the 3 lines icon) :)

I found that just a few minutes ago, I also like how easy it is to draw out midi cc alongside notes... very cool!
only thing I wish is that Xequence could sit in and instrument slot or fix slot on an Aum slot, and send midi to other channels. that would be so nice to have Xequence and instrument and fix all housed inside one app.

@eross that will be possible with the Xequence Audiobus update, coming up very shortly :) (hosting Xequence in AB)

  • Along with the others mentioned here, Rozeta Bassline is the very same type of step sequencer. It's just visualized slightly differently (dots instead of bars, much like Quantum). Drag the notes up and down and done. It is limited to note messages as far as I know. For CC sequencing, the Honorable Mr. Bos also has http://ruismaker.com/perforator/
