xequence drawing in multiple midi notes tip/trick

I’m trying to draw in midi notes in xequence piano roll. is there a way to set up so that i can swipe from left to right and have it fill in notes to the repeating e grid size. ie. if i want all 16ths notes across one bar; i would set the grid to 16th- swipe one long note across with pen tool, and it evenly chops it into individual 16th notes on the grid?

  • Not that I can tell. Just as easy to set the grid, draw in 4 notes, select the 4 notes and hit the little duplicate button beside the x 4 times. It will duplicate what is selected.

Another way to do this is draw a single 16th note, set the grid to 1/16, and then tap the "Magic Wand" -> "Fill part". It will always fill the whole part though :)
