Synthmaster One: amazing functionality for an iOS synth!
I am blown away by the different sounds I can make with this.. at first it seemed simplistic but it's quickly becoming my favorite synth
Comments
Yeah! Agree to 100%...
Maybe not the best looking synth on iOS (although the developers says that a new GUI with different color will be released later)...
But, the sound! Wow!
Beautiful sounds this synth makes!
I got both desktop synths a while back when they were on special offer for about $70. Amazing deal.
@MusicMan4Christ, or @cian , I just got SMPlayer and iaaped to 800 presets. Are these the same as you get on SynthMaster desktop or SM1 iOS? I use mostly presets so the player is a lot easier for me. Just used an awesome pad by Michael Kastrup's, Bell Piano Soft. Seems like you would be the guys to know. Thanks!
Definitely not the best looking synth on iOS, it really puts me off, but the sound is superb. I don’t know why the iOS version looks so different to the desktop version. I hope you’re correct in saying the developers will release an update with a new GUI.
Anyone know when it will get Universal support? That was promised, wasn't it? IIRC, it was announced that it would come later. @kv331audio_bulent @kv331audio
SM1 tablet version looks layout-ready (by design) to be ported to mobile version.
I knew it
I got hooked the moment I saw its layout design.
Where are the IAPs in this synth?
It is the same code from their desktop app on iOS except for the 16 Polyphony limitation on iOS as opposed to 32 on desktop. And the well-designed layout, exhaustive Menus, full-blown Browser, multi-Keyboards, intuitive Graphs, drag-n-drop, etc. are most optimal, modern and the BEST! Since that part is nailed, now they can simply introduce some colorful themes with gradients, transparencies, etc. switchable from Settings to decorate it and make it look even cooler (Navy Blue from desktop, Stealth Dark, etc). A good beginning is half the work done well. A responsive developer - what else can we ask for? That's very rare!
Here is @kv331audio_bulent
I have both. Love them!
SM1 has many presets which are awesome but the fact that I can tweak to death and create my own from there it’s so worth it! I highly recommend this Synth.
Just like changing the color scheme of the GUI, the shop for new patches (IAP) will certainly be introduced this fall...
I’m ready to support this great synth with more money!
@MusicMan4Christ, are the 800 presets the same in SM1 and SM Player?
No two totally different apps
Agree. I’m mostly a preset guy as well. Rarely do I create from scratch. I find a great pr set and start jamming and let the creativity flow; but there are times that I say, man if only this preset did this or that; that’s where SM1 shines. It will give you that extra ability to make this amazing preset your very own!
Since Apple acquired Camel Audio and Alchemy, I suggested Steinberg to acquire KV331Audio and SynthMaster (or partner with them to sell their sound libraries on a revenue/profit-sharing basis) but Steinberg instead acquired MusicStudio
