Controlling BM3 with MIDI mixer controllers
I currently use a pair of Launch Control XLs to control AUM which I use as a virtual mixer and multi effects processor for all my hardware synths and drum machines. I have all the faders, sends and fx parameters mapped so that I never have to look at my iPad. I use 12 channel strips for my instruments, three for fx and one for the master track. Can I do the same with BM3?
Thanks!

Absolutely not without tons of workaround and compromises atm...If BM3 just have been a sampler, and just a sampler, it would have been huge since day one...
Right now you can only control a maximum of 16 parameters via MIDI using the macro controls in Beatmaker 3, unless the receiving plugin already has its own MIDI CC mapping for its controls that you can directly control.
Thanks for the replies. It's a shame that BM3 has this limitation. I actually really enjoyed using BM2 for quite awhile before I moved on to other apps and eventually went almost exclusively hardware while still using the iPad as a virtual mixer and multi-effects processor.
It took me a while to accept that BM3 was made as an 'on the pad' app, but once you do, its really amazing actually, for what it does. I have a dream of an update that opens up live use more, but for now it is a track or song creation tool much more than it is an improvisation tool. That is why I am using ApeMatrix for live stuff, and BM3 has replaced Maschine for making finished tracks. Maschine is much more live friendly actually, but I like creating songs in BM3 much more, and live jamming in Ape much more, probably only a few more months till I sell the Maschine Mk2 to cover some of my app purchasing mistakes, ha!!
Well as I've changed my hardware, and having everything a lot more stable, I guess I could give it a new go, but seriously, drifting Link...And the master knobs where you have to be on the selected channel to be able to use your midi controller...useless...
Macros are part of the focus actions, the hint is in the name focus, actions that only work on focused/selected parts of the software, they do what they were designed to do.
Take for example if you had an Akai MPD with dials, you could set up the macros for each bank and when you switch banks the dials word work accordingly with the currently selected bank.
There is no real global MIDI control inside Beatmaker apart from the sampler, which does have direct MIDI control.
I am not sure that is useless, but may not work for you if you are expecting a feature that hasn't been implemented yet.
