    There's one person's perspective and detailed comparison of computer DAWS, if it'll help at all. Many have their strengths as well as weaknesses, depending on what's more important to you.

    IF you go with a computer, depending on budget, I'd look at Reaper or Waveform to see which "clicked" with you more OR, if you have more $ to spend on it, I'd probably go with Logic over either of them if you do get a Mac. If you want to keep using your iPhone as part of an integrated overall music toolbox, a Mac would, of course, be easier than PC. Otherwise, personally, I find both OSs easy to use and stable etc. (so would normally recommend PC to save money, but, again, iPad+iPhone.....).
