It’s like Patterning 2 on steroids !
This thing is superb, could do with some MIDI controls for pattern switching though.
Nice to see proper EQ and limiter
I’ve still got the original version on my iPad and it’s like night and day between the 2. The GUI on this one is very modern and slick, the old one wasn’t bad apart from portrait only but this one is a lot cleaner and pro looking. File transfer is spot on inside Apples file app it’s not a closed system as such like Patterning 2 so you can transfer full folders straight into the app. There quite a few sound manipulation features aswell.
I’d forgotten I still had the original installed, I thought Figure was the only thing to survive the “no landscape” cull.
Enjoyed it a lot back in the day (and should revisit), definitely interested in a sequel.
So far I’m in love. Hope they don’t leave the engine running every time you switch the app on - could be awkward live! Lol
when is the release?
It’s amazing! Congrats @digitaldistortion
Yes that needs fixing like the DJ genre style play.
It's a pleasure to come back to the old place and see how they've fixed it up
It's the kind of app I'm going to really enjoy (that old thing) using/having fun with. I'm also pretty sure that some of the talented folks around here will make some incredible back tracks with it. New version is a serious upgrade. Happy.
Ten minutes in and this thing is superb. Builds very nicely on the old version.
The original is still great app, one of first tracks I made when switched to iOS was largely Loopseque based https://redskylullaby.com/track/firelight-remedy
Why Loopseque 8? Why not turn that 8 on it’s side and make it Loopseque ∞ i-n-f-i-n-i-t-y
What will it cost...? Looking good
I can not get my own samples in there. What is the way to get own samples in there? When trying to paste in the sample screen it crashes to the iOS screen. I can not find any import function or „send to“ entry.
No Samples folder in the Files app.
—— Damn - Got it.
Just throwing samples or folder structures inside its folder does the job.
@digitaldistortion
Anyway. Trying to paste something inside the sampler screen crashes the app to the iOS Dashboard.
After clicking on paste it crashes.
Doesn’t matter if i use Audiocopy or general pasteboard format.
(Realizing my denseness) Its because you get 8 rings of 4 samples to mess with
Anyone else having issues saving user sample sets? I seem to be only to get 1 and then it overwrites if try add another?
It is no TestFlight beta. It is running on Crashlytics. Needs a local installed certificate.
No Safari breaking problems so far
Beta testers I beseech thee..... please hurry up 😆
Procedure and app both working well here.
I haven't had any issues at all yet. It wasn't as intuitive as I thought it'd be from first glance, but not overly complicated either. Pretty cool actually.
@digitaldistortion
Feature request:
Can I get a "if i drag my finger across the 4 colored loops they link feature" or any # of neighboring loops? Or a link all button?
I noticed there wasn't a "mainview" screen that you went back to. That is you have to always press one of the bottom buttons to move between screens with none of them being default. These buttons don't act like toggles turning the respective views on and off.
Is this to give and always playing/access to the sounds playing?
So not understanding how channels work, how does the individual pattern tempo allow one to change song parts, e.g. verse, chorus?
Like, are there scenes or some way to group patterns, e.g. if you have a couple patterns with the same tempo change, and you grouped them, will that work?
