Apematrix out
Can you record directly to, loopy/cubasis etc directly from Apematrix or does it need to go out into ab3 first similar to AUM?
I do not own Apematrix yet 🙂

You can load ApeMatrix onto an audio track in Cubasis and record directly in. I’ve not got loopy on my iPad, so no idea, but likely you gwould need AB3 for connecting in that scenario
Don’t own cubasis but Loopy gets audio only from the Audio Interface inputs ,or from Audiobus.
I think you can record up to 2 channels in Cubasis using the 2 apeMatrix buses .
PS. ApeMatrix can also record the master output (not individual channels)
You can record from the stereo out or from the two bus outs. No multi outs for each page or even instruments though, which is a shame.
Good Looking out guys....
, I love getting a huge session going in AUM but it's kinda a bummer to have to run each channel into Ab3 then to loopy or whatever to record, it just taxes the CPU having that extra step, but I'm glad it's an option and I love Ab3... Was hoping ape was a solution..
Add to this that ApeM is able to be synced as IAA, works really well with GB, should be the same with Cubasis.
Huh? You can arm each track and record directly in AUM. You don’t need anything else.
I don't want to record in AUM tho then send files to something else, too many steps, I want to record loops and they instantly start to play and loop so I can keep building... The arm / record in AUM is useful for other times, if it automatically loaded the loop and played it that would be different
+1
Got it. I assumed that at first when you mentioned Loopy, but what you said in the post didn’t include that.
I doubt AB3 adds much CPU overhead at all. But maybe you’ve looked at it more closely than I have.
There are other looper apps, such as LooperSonic and QuantiLoop Pro that can receive IAA input. I prefer Loopy + AB3 myself.
+1. If the Ape Matrix sampler gets those abilities, it’ll be great. Especially in combination with something like the upcoming midi loop recorder @midiSequencer is cooking up. Or, eventually with what I sense is being planned for AUM directly.
