App demos.

Wondering why more paid apps don't have demos to test before you buy.
Does apple charge to upload an app ? If so that would make sense why they don't exist...or if programming an app to only be able to do certain things aka demo mode is a ton of extra work, that would also make sense...
Anyway just curious... Normally if you can fool around with something for a few minutes to see it's potential and have some fun with it... It'll push me to want to actually own it, or let me know if it's not right for me.. Would love to see more demos tho

What strikes me is the lack of promotional work the developers put into their software. They’ve got people like Doug @thesoundtestroom and @jakoB_haQ and others posting tutorials and demos for them. In fairness let the developers code rather than make promo videos and tutorials, but rather than discounting the apps to increase sales, why not just pump out more teaser videos. I’ve made more than a few already and they’re not that difficult to make.

TLDR more presence on YouTube from the developers showcasing their apps would probably eliminate a lot of confusion and may even mitigate redundant feature requests if users saw what the app is intended for. Sales would increase as well because out of sight out of mind as the saying goes. So many of these apps are rich in features that it’s overwhelming and casual users might not have the patience or abilit to learn unless shown how.
