Those are handy and handsome. Since most iOS apps support MIDI Learn, I'm not sure how valuable it would be to create these for apps.
What we're really waiting for is "MIDI Capability Inquiry (MIDI-CI) Messages". That will allow a device (or an app) to let other devices (or hosts, DAWS, etc) know what it can do and how to control it. Then, something like the Digitakt or Rozeta LFOs or Quantum, etc, can simply make those available via the UI—no need for mapping CCs or NRPNs or Sysex...
It promises to be similar to the way AUv3s can let a host know what its parameters are and then you can just select one to work with (like in the AUM MIDI control window). It is now officially part of the spec but I haven't seen it out in the wild yet. Hoping Dave Smith runs with it to inspire others to get on board.
