Step Sequencing my Guitar. Is there an app for that?
I believe the Electribe (hardware) accepts audio input to the sequencer to create a rhythmic pattern. There are some guitar fx pedals that also do this.
Is there an app I can put in, for example, the effects slot in AUM, with sequencer and envelope, that I can run Toneatack through to achieve these results?

What are you wanting to achieve?
I think you are wanting to create a sequence that can send MIDI to other apps and play any sounds? Rather than looping the guitar audio directly.
Something like Infinite Looper has an audio input that can convert to MIDI - and record sequences / loops
Sugarbytes Effectrix. That's the one I have the most fun with.
No, I apologize for not explaining it very well. I want the effect to create a rhythmic pattern based on the sequence programmed. Ideally it would have envelope ADSR params to control the nature of the “choppiness”.
The Hologram Dream Sequence is an example of guitar effects pedal that does this (and a bit more).
Oh, good call, thanks! I have fun with Effectrix too, I dunno why it didn’t occur to me to use it for this. Thanks again!
That's a cool pedal
Could possibly make something similar sounding in iOS if there is a pitch shifter AU that could be controlled by MIDI - then you could drop that Pitch AU onto your guitar track and use StepPolyArp or any other suitable step sequencer to send it sequence data.
You're welcome
@brambos recently released Perforator, which is awesome for that.

I remember now buying my first electribe (EA-1) to plug my bass into
perfect, thanks, I picked this up when it came out, but haven't had a chance to dig in yet... now I will!
The closest effect I am aware of that does "some" of this, is @brambos app Perforator.

Ha! That's what I get for posting before reading all the way through!! It's been mentioned above me already!!
Yeah, all good ideas. I suppose any sequencer that can send midi CC could be used to automate the fader or mute button in AUM. Of course you’d lose some of the ADSR options, so I agree with you guys that Perforator is a better option.
Incidentally, I going to explore using this effect live. I just upgraded my hardware looper from a Boss RC-202 to the RC-505, so with that and a new midi foot controller, I’m trying to take my solo live performance to the next level. Cheers!
We want to see video!
+1
It’s definitely a work in progress, but yeah, I’ll share it, when there is something worth sharing!
Maybe someone knows if iVCS3 can work for you. I know the original VCS3 they used to sequence organ outputs into it for stuff like Baba O’Riley and other old vintage songs. I believe they’d put it in a filter sequence and then run an input through that. I don’t have the app, but it’s worth looking into for that kind of thing.
I’d definitely add another Perforator suggestion. I don’t think I’ve tried it on guitar, but I’ve definitely used it on melodica. It works on anything really.
Thanks for the tip. I purchased iVCS3 long ago, but wiped my iPad clean about 6 months back, and it’s one of the apps I had yet to reinstall. I just re-downloaded it and confirmed it can be put in an effects slot in AUM, so I’m sure there some fun to be had running some guitar through it!
iVCS3 even has a preset for Won't get fooled again, if you wanna check it out
