Is there a good alternative to this disappeared app? I always meant to buy it but could never recall the name. Now it’s history.

You can emulate it with a Euclidean step sequencer like from Four Pockets
There is nothing that has the all in one view immediacy though along with step entry. You could possibly cobble something together with multiple sequencers like atom 2, cykle, riffer, or Drambo
