LinnDrum addict as well. I wish someone would make an eprom based app, like Aly James' dead on Linn vst. In the meantime I guess samples will do
I took the plunge. You have to turn the decay all the way up on most of the samples or they're totally clipped. There are two kits apiece that seem to emulate the DMX and Linn (and also 1 909 and two 808s. The dmx/linn snare is in the ballpark, but not close enough for me. And unfortunately the Linn snares are modeled after the LM-2 (which are pretty good if downtuned, but no match for the LM1) Overall, the sound just isn't there. The scrolling between 12 or 16 instruments isn't worth it, and you can't mix and match kits. I vote save your $2.

I like it. Preliminary use mixed with SynthDrum Kick + MV08 + RX950 fx... got a dirty gritty sound that I like so far.
Glad I spent the $1.99
The price on the app has dropped to $0.99(or 10SEK here in Sweden) so I could not resist it!
It's got enough tweak-ability to sculpt the selected sound.
This gives the Cubasis 'Classic Machines IAP' some healthy competition!
