Novation audio hub/interface power up?

Whenever i power up the novation audiohub, via cck, it never goes on the FIRST time. I have to plug it into the ipad, pull it out and plug it in again and presto, all is fine. Really would like to get it on with one step.
Anyone else experiencing this, or with any other hub/interface? Solutions?
