Cubasis 1.7.1
Quote from Crohde
Hello,
Cubasis 1.7.1 will be released soon. This is a maintenance update that targets user reported problems.
Here is the list of the improvements and solved problems.
CB-1284 Start button added to the mixdown popup
CB-1431 Solves a rare issue where triggering MIDI notes frequently on an instrument assigned via Core MIDI lead to hanging notes.
CB-1432 Fixes a rare phenomenon where MIDI port list popups appeared continuously.
CB-1433 Solves an issue where the attack and release values were reseted to their defaults when switching between projects.
CB-1434 Solves a rare problem where executing a mixdown of a project that contained IAA instruments lead to oversized audio files.
CB-596 Moving the pan fader while playback is running no longer leads to audio dropouts.
CB-1425 Executing a FLAC mixdown of the same project no longer overwrites the previous audio file without notice.
CB-1430 IAA audio file naming has been corrected to allow projects to be imported in Cubase without the need to locate IAA audio files manually.
CB-1294 MIDI events with a huge number of notes no longer renders Cubasis unreliable.
CB-1412 Corrects an issue where a wrong instrument was highlighted in the Media Bay after an instrument was changed in Microsonic.
CB-1414 The effect status in the inspector now gets updated correctly by tapping its edit button.
CB-1417 Fixes a rare phenomenon where switching instruments while playing could lead to hanging notes.
CB-1418 Solves the issue where tapping the panic button did not reset hanging notes of an IAA instrument app.
CB-1410 Switching projects quickly that contain IAA instruments no longer renders Cubasis unreliable.
CB-1279 The playable keyboard range now updates correctly after an instrument is changed.

What was that? :-)

Lol xD
Cool! I see a couple of fixes that were actively discovered/researched here in these forums! :-)
And when you fix the 'PINCH TO ZOOM' bug: if I zoom in one point it go wherever he want?
Yay for CB-1432 and CB-1279 especially!
I figured you'd be happy about CB-1434 too, @AlterEgo_UK. :-)

Oh bugger. Sorry
Close.

I would be even happier if they solved the large audio filesize for projects that don't use IAA! (my large files with extra empty space in the wavs were just using midi, and audio through audiobus) :-)
Ahh, OK then....I guess it wasn't your solution after all..... :-( I was hoping that was your issue. :-)
I think I'm having a similar issue with cubasis recently. When I mix down to a wav file its coming out about 15 mins long when the song should only be about 5 mins. Not using IAA. But other apps via audiobus. Anybody know of anyway to sort this ahead of the update (which hopefully solves the problem properly???) as I've just about finished a new track I want to put on soundcloud pretty soon.
Cheers guys!
Rhys
Have they fixed the glitching audio? Or is that an iOS 7 problem?

Hi Vineyboy. All I can suggest is what I do, which is to share the finished mixdown and open in Audioshare and then trim the excess silence from the end of the wav and upload the trimmed version to Soundcloud.
Still no idea what is causing it but hoping it will be solved at the same time as the IAA problem that also seems to produce larger than expected audio files.
@Vineyboy or buy Auria :-) lol
oh,the Midi Editor in Auria finally arrived? ;-)
Set your beginning and end locators and then click the range between locators on the mixdown.
I'm having trouble with freezing MIDI tracks that are triggering external synth apps via IAA. The audio file generated is all out of tune, but with the track unfrozen it sounds perfect.
Which synths are you using?I had no such problems except with the Virsyn plugins (Audiofile was empty after freezing/mixdown).But the reverb is already fixed and Cube/Addictive synths bugfixes are in the work.
Actually, I was wrong, it seems it only happens with Magellan. It sounds fine when it's being triggered in realtime, but it goes crazy when you freeze it.

This happens even with the locators properly setup?

Hey guys thanks so much for your responses. I will try again with setting the locators. In the meantime today though trimming the track in audio share is really handy. Only used the app to upload to soundcloud before so I didn't know it had this feature.
Thanks again.

@GuillermoNavarrete:
I have already tested mixing down with the locators set correctly but the wav file produced still has a lot of empty space/silence after the end marker position!
I am currently working on a joint project with several others and this has happened each time I do a mixdown of the region of the project that contains my specific parts (region is about 48 bars long of a 248 bar project). My part actually lasts about 1 minute but the wav file I produce by mixing down with the locator set for my part and choosing to mixdown the region within the locators is over 3 minutes long with the extra silence!
Hope this is solved with the fix for the large audio file when using IAA (my project does not use any IAA)
Thanks
Hello,
Ok, thank you for testing it again. I will pass this on to the developers.
Best regards,
GN
@GuillermoNavarrete: Thanks. I did post about this on the Cubasis forum but no response since end of November, so thanks again
1.7.1 is out now.
Thanks! Just exported a new mixdown it is the correct length, with no extra silence at the end! Looks like this issue of fixed
Does 1.7.1 need IOS 7.4? Just tried the new Cubasis update and now ISEM keeps losing the IAA control panel. It was rock solid before. I'm on an IPad Air 128 with IOS 7.03. I tried a hard reset and it worked for awhile but then lost it again! Any advice? Thanks
@AlterEgo_UK That's Great news!
