The site claims an SRP OF 699€, but that’s bullshit.
Still, a good deal.

What's so good about it? From I've read on MPC forum the MPC software never was that popular. I get the impression that most MPC-Live or X users only work standalone...
I’m thinking of picking up a used MPC mini 2, and I don’t know if I could get the software for free buying it used.
It’s awesome, I use it as my main desktop DAW after buying an MPC Studio Black a few months ago. If you’ve never been an MPC hardware user you might not fully appreciate how far the software has come , but it’s great imo. If I had an MPC Live or X , I’d probably use them more in stand alone mode , but not because of any issues with the desktop software, but because they are stand alone MPC’s and I might not want to always fire up my Laptop. But you’d be using and getting the same features as the desktop software.
If you want to find out what’s so good about it they do have a free 7 day demo.
But you won’t get the full experience without an MPC controller ( it does have midi learn though if you want to map your current controller)
You can get an MPC Studio or touch for about $400.00 I went with the Studio because the display is more on par with the MPC hardware display from earlier models like the MPC 2000, which I used to use for almost ten years, and it has more buttons to push, its more tactile.
Okay, maybe l’ll try the demo.. I’ve used the mpc500 for some time and I really liked the workflow (12levels notes, 12level velocity, song mode). They are great machines for hiphop beats...
