iOS 12 and Siri "suggestions" - how to disable?

    Go to the Siri & Search settings, then scroll down the apps list to “Mail”. Turn off “Search, Suggestions, & Shortcuts”. Repeat for each app you don’t want to include.

    Works for me anyway.

    (BTW, it’s impossible for it to be your individual iPad being “somehow bad”. It has to be something else if the above doesn’t help.)
