Auria - Adobe Reader is a memory pig
Bought Auria on last week's sale. Slowly reading the PDF manual in Adobe Reader and following along. Close everything, run a memory cleaner - 350+ clear, launch Auria small 1track mono no insert project - 311. Launch Adobe Auria manual -79! Free! It is as if Adobe has every PDF in it's library loaded in memory! Need a much lighter PDF reader.
Air, 7.0.4
Edit. Never mind. The mem cleaner gets the Adobe excess after a bit and it, only!, uses 50meg.

...not on iOS7
oh what???? seriously?
Uh, I already have GoodReader. Runs just fine on iOS 7. It does so much I never even considered it as a lightweight alternative. I will now.
It's crashing very often here. And i'm not alone, the (german)app store reviews are full of reports like this.It went down from 5 to 2 stars actually.

ouch!
I've always heard good things about GoodReader, but I've always been happy with iFiles:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ifiles/id336683524
I have always used USB Disk Pro. Very good.

There is a free version but it's full of adds etc.
Speaking of memory cleaners, any suggestions of which to use? Thanks.
i use "cMemory"(free).Definitely doing it's job.
I use system status. Does what I need.

thx for the tip Crabman, cMemory does a good job!
GoodReader is working just as great as always for me on iOS 7. It is easily the most useful iPad app I ever downloaded. I don't know what I would do without it.
wow. not sure how I haven't used one of these before.
AB2 should have a memory wiper in it.
Only 2/5 kidding.
I get no results searching for cMemory on the store. Anyone got a linky for me?
btw: GoodReader is fast and fine on my Air. iOS 7 introduced a very minor initial screen update in the reader, that is all. No crashes.

I use GoodReader all the time -- including to dig into the details of Auria while running it at the same time -- but it does still have a very annoying bug on iOS 7 that has been there since the OS release. There's a display issue such that when you swipe to a new page, all you get is a blank grey background. If you give a quick pinch to the screen, your page appears, and all else works normally. It doesn't happen every time, but it's probably more than 50%. You get used to it, but it's troubling that they haven't taken the time to fix this since September. All else works great, and it's definitely my preferred reader.
@flo26, crabman Thanks a lot. Will definitely check those out.
Everyone should check out Readdle's Documents app: http://readdle.com/products/documents/
Works great as a file manager, and it handles PDFs very well.
@dwarman: I found this link for cMemory, it works here

Thanks, @syrupcore and @Marcel, got it!
