"Heartbeat" - A machine love song...
(I haven't completed a track in so long! This might actually be the first built entirely in iOS.)
This track is part of a concept album I'm creating which tells a story about a machine becoming self-aware. The base tracks for the entire album were all created in iKaossilator. For this particular love song, I moved a rendered audio track into Cubasis and played along using the Ravenscroft275 piano. I added a couple of subtle percussive elements exported from Blocs Wave, sweetened them with Eos2 and Filterstation2, then tamed everything a bit with DDMF NoLimits and Pro-Q2. I wrote the lyrics from a machine's point of view (using lots of technical terms, anyway) and wanted to ensure that the vocals represented that perspective, so they're actually a duet featuring myself and SpeakUnit, both run through Voice Synth. (Yes, it took a very long time to teach SpeakUnit to sing.)

Nice dreamy track. I’d like the vocal to be a bit louder compared to the backing, personally, but everything else was good.

Thanks, @AndyPlankton , and to all of you for the positive comments. Funny you should say that about the vocal levels, @TheOriginalPaulB , because I think I've heard that comment about almost every track for which I've ever mixed vocals. Not sure if I'm just that self-conscious about my voice, can't get over treating it like just another instrument, or it's a stylistic choice. I'm going with the last one at this point in my life...
