    Don’t crash here, but GarageBand merging/export still gives an AudioLayer rendered track with audio cracklefest. 7 Plus iOS 12

    I’m on iPad Pro 10.5
    And it’s crashing in cubasis a lot

  • It’s not usable here too because of those audio crackles on export. Still wait for SFZ so I barely use it. When it will be stable with more import options I will certainly use it on almost every project.

    @VirSyn

  • Crashing here too in apeMatrix/AUM. I don't think these fixes were relevant to my stability issues because it was the same in iOS 11. Often crashing when scaling AU gui, interacting with the app when midi being sent and transport is running etc.

    Still usable in my projects but I'm always aware of the fact that it could crash any second, depending on the instrument.

    Let’s hope a fix comes soon.i spent almost a full day exporting Logic ex24 sampler instruments from Mac to my IPad and really want to use AudioLayer 😂

  • Well, it's definately better after the update for me.

    Cubasis lets me hear it as a MIDI instrument and Freeze the track.

    I have converted to using local files and started importing instruments from the Mac's Logic Pro or Mainstage's EXS24 Sampler in EXS formats.

    I'm going to aim for some lightweighter instruments versus the massive Salamander Piano. I found a smaller sampleset Akai Piano in SF2 form that helps give me a reasonable piano in an AU form for Cubasis and AUM using AudioLayer.

    What iPad are you on?

  • virsyn makes great apps. But you know what? I almost never use them because they are all buggy. I own most of them, and they all crash on program change, and when mapping midi externally - the UI freezes.

    This is pretty frustrating, as I would love to use them in my setup, but they just don't feel like finished products.

    That's exactly the reason why I purchased AudioLayer only, and nothing else yet, even though the current sale looks like a good deal.
    I prefer to wait and see how AudioLayer is going along first.
