New Videos coming in the next day or two

I haven't been taking time off...on the contrary, I rarely get enough sleep...lol. Things I'm going to upload this week hopefully...or however you slice it...as soon as I can...
Complete music video almost all filmed and effected/produced on IOS of the Basement Jaxx song I did, with a more driving bass line, A video showing how I'm able to run a line 6 helix floorboard on a small motorcycle sized rechargeable battery, two 100 watt blue tooth speakers that don't need recharging for a couple days at a time, a line 6 wireless pack, an iPhone and alternately an ipad, in an effort to show how one can perform loud and mobile all on battery power.

Also a video on how to use Cubasis on an Ipad or evolution on an iPhone to be a one man band either for busking, or a DJ gig, or like for a wedding. I'll be showing how to use the DAWs to automatically change patches on the helix, how to use midiguitar to switch back and forth from guitar riffs to synths during a live performance using automation, how to do all of this without the helix, with a zoom pedal, and also using audio unit plugins to show the advantages and disadvantages of each....basically how to be a one man band or even perform with a couple other musicians, all with the minimal amount of equipment possible, soley on battery power. If I get to it, I'll explore playing along with precomposed audio files, to minimize CPU glitching , vs playing everything through plugins live and then alternately through a couple of the really popular looping apps, like loopy HD, controlling loopy all with the Helix....the great thing about using actual hardware for the guitar sounds is a lot less latency and giving the IOS more horsepower....but I'll also being trying it out using plugin am sims in real time , which ultimately means less crap to schlep around.

....and If I have time, how to be a one man dance music performer , using the aforementioned battery powered setup, using a guitar to primarily play synths and minimizing saturating the EDM music with guitar sounds, that generally are not present in most dance music.....so basically playing keyboard based music without a keyboard.

The intention is to show that the platform is not limited, that you can be a keyboardist or guitarist, that it doesn't matter.....no more excuses for not getting out there and performing for people......all made possible by IOS. Along the way, once this big experiment is underway, I'll be documenting my quest to use this to book various gigs and try to earn money......busy busy busy, but I do all the shopping and trying out of equipment to try to find stuff that works, as cheap as possible while still having great sound...that listeners can enjoy. Lastly I'll be exploring different levels of loudness and amplification available on battery power, all the way up to playing with a loud rock band and being able to keep up on battery power so a performance could happen virtually anywhere for a large crowd or a small one...….all mobile. The bulk I've already figured out how to do...…
Hopefully this will be useful to some people other than myself or at the very least interesting to watch unfold.

Who would pay you any money if you are busking and already own an iPad??

Next up on my channel - a super-hit Bollywood song on Cubasis and SynthMaster One in a couple of days. Even though I completed this song months ago, the biggest challenge I have with it is - every time I sit down to create a video out of it, I just end up watching it on my iPad for hours and run out of time to create the actual video

Now, as I'm a SM1 beta tester, the beta installation of SM1 just expired today and won't open in Cubasis and I need to delete/reinstall SM1 and redesign the presets used in this song.

first of all, I would never busk just for money. I want to do it to become a master entertainer. If you can win over people that didn't pay to come see you...now that's an accomplishment! And people will pay money to millionaires if they appreciate them. It's an odd human habit we have, but we will buy rock stars and famous people dinner....When they can afford it much more than we can, or anyone we really appreciate for that matter. I know this from being a pot dealer in the past. People liked me so they smoked their hard earned cash with me, even when I told them not to, they insisted, so I said ok. Human nature is a funny thing, but I hasn't changed since the very beginning.

btw , nice way to try to hijack my post and try to get people over to your stuff....lol. I don't mind, but don't think you are fooling anyone!

Posts get diverted all the time and everyone knows that. When you are on a public forum, you don't "own" any post - you don't own nothing! You are talking as though your post is something very precious that needs to be protected. You cannot state mine is hijacking your post unless you establish that I indulged in that pattern of behavior in the past. I did not even post a link to my channel in my comment. I'm not fooling anybody - that's very rude of you to say that!

  • Hey Marc, posts have a life of their own. They seem to go in all sorts of directions. @mobilemusic is well respected and draws interest on his own abilities. I don't think he meant any harm to you. Looking forward to your vids!

I like the dude ! I’m just giving him a hard because I thinks it’s funny ! Anyone can and should promote what they do and have fu permission in any posts of mine !!! He’s been totally cool ...I hope nobody assumed I was upset in the least bit !!!

    @mobilemusic
Bro !! U have been nothing but kind and supportive ! I was totally joking . I WANT you to promote your stuff here and everywhere and just so you know .. if I ever have an issue , like I’m actually mad, i would start a discussion In private , not belittle them first in public . I never meant to piss you off with that comment ... you were supposed to joke back like , “ well if your post was about something legitimate I wouldn’t have to ! Please accept my apologies . I very much appreciate you and taking time to read and comment when I post . You ate the bomb !! Are we cool ?

  • Hi Marc, sorry if I misread you. Humor is a strange thing in internet space. Dry humor especially. I guess that is why emojis are popular. I have said things I thought were ironic and funny that were received exactly the opposite. And I apologized just like you! Sorry to ripple the road. I should just keep these things to myself and butt out. @McDtracy has suggested a humor font for jesting. But he has no sense of humor. See what I mean? I'm joking!

  • @bedheadproducer - Got it. No worries  It takes time to get used to some people and get their humor/irony side. It's funny that at least 2 people misunderstood you so far.

(Some wise person said, "behavior comes in patterns").

  • It’s ok , where’s my heart medicine , you two almost killed me :)

I thought LOL was short for laughing out loud? who does that when they are pissed? " You mother fucker...hahaha, I'm so angry, hahah, stop being an asshole, hahaha!" The thought of angry laughing guy alone was worth almost giving me a heart attack. I think I'll have to invent this character and do some sort of skit. any ideas for the skit? :)
big wicked grin, I'm totally joking grin, tears coming out of my eyes from laughing emoji , exclamation exclamation tion, ex Claymation :)

  • Keen to see your battery setup!

    I am running:

    iPad
    Apogee Jam
    Make Noise O coast
    Keystep
    Beatstep

All from an Anker & a JBL Xtreme.

    Are your BT speakers DIY?

Aha!i didn’t get much of a response so I questioning what to show first ... who do I cater to ? Elm peeps ? Other guitarist like me who like at least 12 genres a lot not including sub genres ? I guess I’ll find out as I develop an audience . I’ll tell you what give me 30 min and I’ll post pix with a quick explanation . Thanks you for showing interest . Sometimes I feel all alone out here!

  • Ok the 12 volt batteries are normally around 40 each but I found a place where I got two for think 40 bucks combined
The Bluetooth battery powered speakers are $150 each at 100 w each each come with a mic , stay charged for 100 hours and combined are plenty loud for most situations up to say 200- 400 people , have two usb charging jacks a built in radio 8th inch aux I’m and 1/4 inch mic/ lie input and colored flashing lights , a retreating handle and wheels and double as my stereo speakers for my tv. I’m also running a line 6 helix and wireless guitar receiver and it’s all going through a furman power conditioner . So far I ran it for about 2 hours before it ran out but I don’t know if the battery was full charged . I need to buy something that indicates that

  • damn ... i need to get my dog groomed..lol

  • the mobile setup looks great. It seems like you could trim down the bulkiness a bit, especially guitar FX by using a plain MIDI pedal board and run it through some iOS guitar effects like Tonestack or something. Then you could skip the motorcycle batteries altogether and just power the iPad and MIDI pedal from the ION speakers (if they have a USB charging outlet)

When i daydream of busking, I have a stereo pair of those ION speakers wowing the crowds. How do they work in real life?

  • The goal is to have different scales of being Mobile. So if I’m playing with my band , I want no latency and the helix can run four parallel Audio paths with effects with no latency so there is also less chance of cpu hiccups of the iPad .in the video I’ll make I’m going to have 4 versions each of different scale ...this is just a preview . The ions are awesome ..I love them
