Hardware synth udates via ios?

Do you think we will ever see the day when hardware synth companies (moog, dsi, korg etc)
will offer their firmware updates via ios?
(I dont own a computer but feeling forced to buy one just solely for this operation)

As long as the firmware is available as a MIDI Sysex file, it's been possible since quite a while.

what @rs2000 said. If a manufacturer needs a separate application to update firmware, don't buy their stuff.
Sysex Base is great! I use it all the time with my hardware connected to the iPad.

So as im undersatnding , this app will allow me to update firmware to a hardware synth via ipad. So when i go to down load the firmware update, i choose the osx version? And then?

I bought a lad top and returned it the next day lol. Kinda lost my mind. If things go smoothly this app will be huge for me. Thx for responding👍🏼
Also i can only blame myself for being behind, but since this is possible,
i think companies should tell this option on their websites along with the mac/windows instructions.
Sysex Base only works if the manufacturer of your equipment has implemented the OS update by sending a MIDI file (with system exclusive data).
If the update is a Windows or Mac program with the firmware embedded or as a binary file, you're usually stuck with a Win/Mac machine to perform the update.

The k-board can be updated by the iOS app.
