Just a heads up to anyone that bought Animoog or Model 15

I bought Model 15 a while ago and have been waiting forever for the Animoog price to drop in a sale to finally buy it. I checked today and while it still isn't for sale if you click any of their apps in the app store and click their name under the app name it takes you to their products page where there is a "Moog synth bundle." I randomly clicked it out of curiosity and was able to "finish your bundle" with what I already paid taken into account and got Animoog and Filtatron for $12 total.

Not sure if this is well known but I'd never seen it mentioned anywhere and I almost bought Animoog for full price a few times, glad I didn't now.

  • Don't see that on my iPhone. Ah well.

  • Yup. That's how those AppStore bundles work. I had 1 or 2 less of an Audio Damage bundle and ended up getting the remainder for literal pennies.

Same here although this Moog bundle doesn’t consider Model D

  • It’s awesome when the bundle prices actually work
I’ve been waiting to complete the FAC Bundle but it still won’t display correct pricing

  • I have a lot of problems with bundles displaying correctly too.

  • I have Animoog and Model D. The “Complete my Bundle” price to get Filtatron is $22.01. By Grabthar’s Hammer!

  • Thanks, I got Model 15 for $12.00.

  • I own Model 15 and Model D and the "complete my bundle" shows up for $27 to add Animoog and Filtatron. I was hoping to see $12 but 'tis not to be for me.

  • I guess some of us got Animoog for a buck back at the dawn of iOS time.

I THINK the way bundle pricing works is that if you paid less than the current cost of an App then the bundle cost goes up!!!

So! Maybe I bought Model 15 when it was on sale and that history impacts my current bundle offer? Thank you for slipping me a clue. It;s not owning Model 15 but how much you paid for it that impacts the prices. I have to pay $27 but someone else that bought Model 15 at normal price only needs to pay $12. Makes sense. I'm very happy with Model 15. Someday Animoog will go on sale too.

  • The purpose of the bundle is to punish you for taking advantage of earlier offer prices.

:-) Maybe also as a consolation for those who paid full whack for the other apps? I was hoping to be offered the Model 15 for 10 quid. How naive I can still be!

Well said. btw Moog regulary has sale. Remember last sale was at the intro of Model D. Animoog was 5 bucks. The iPhone version is now and then available for 1 or 2 bucks. If you can't miss the money and don't need it right away. Just wait :)
btw counts for a lot of apps on the other hand there are apps that never or hardly go on sale. And some apps get more and more expensive through the years. Example Secret Base stuff started for nearly nothing and you pay 20 bucks for their most advanced midi app.
Do your research at Appshopper this site has a nice price history of every app.
