Beathawk Scratch IAP or Baby Scratch app?
My next live YouTube performance will be a cover of a classic 80s hip hop song that uses the "fresh" sample for scratching. I'm debating whether to use a sample of the scratch or attempt to perform the scratch live. Anybody here have the Beathawk Scratch IAP? Is it any good? Should I just go for the 'wow' factor and scratch live on my iPad mini 4? LOL.
Thanks,

I would try it live

Something like Djay or this Baby Scratch app
I'd rather first get one of the many free scratch samples or sample from online music and video sources.
Then there's DJay LE and if you own Effectrix, you can "synthesize" and fine-tune scratches from any sample too.
Or just use Wigwiggle Lite on your music library with songs and samples.
Thanks for the replies!
I started experimenting with the free apps. Then I got djay 2 which lead me to the Pioneer DDJ-WeGO4. Here's the result...
Very Old school (DXT like) I recommend you this:
also digitaldjtips has a course on the topic and some videos

I have the scratch IAP from beathawk it’s not that bad maybe it’s even good 😊 it has multiple samples you play out on the keyboard 🎹 and different styles ... it would work if your just goin to do a little scratching it may even sound better especially if you can’t scratch in real life 😉 I haven’t used it much but have played around with it a few times . Good luck 👍🏼
