Cubasis: how to double tap audio clip to edit without messing it’s location?

I hope it’s not a case of hit or miss...

Please!

It seems worse with apple pencil.

One tap, ‘hold’ for a second then drag to move. Two taps to go into a part.. it shouldn’t move !
Unless its an iOS 12 bug, I’m on iOS 11.

    That’s not what I meant.

The worst thing in that is that cubasis does not undo clip location change.

Is it possible to do one thing on this 1600$ ipad crap without issues for heaven’s sake!!!

  • Are you on iOS 12 ?

  • You don’t have to double-tap, do you? All I do is touch the clip and it appears in the editor.

Make sure the grid is set to bars and it’s really unlikely you’ll accidentally move anything..

  • Double tap seems a requirement. Guess I’ll have to set grid to a bigger value.
    Thanks

It’s only a requirement if the edit window isn’t already open. If it’s open, you only need to touch another track. Of course if you have it sized to cover the whole window this is a problem, but you can slide it down to half screen and easily flip between tracks.
