Hi,
Yes, I had a good session with the Fire today, hooked up to a refurbished MacBook Air 2015 running FL20.5 :)I’ve used FL on and off for many years and I think the Fire works really well with it.
When using it as a step sequencer I made a hi hat pattern and then changed the pitch, pan, volume of the steps on the fly - v.fun! Creating and recording new patterns is also really quick and easy. Also, I think Performance Mode is probably going to be my favourite way of using the Fire - switching and layering patterns live is v.kool!
I also tested Drum mode with NI’s Battery4 and it works, although visually the pads don’t match - this doesn’t bother me tho, & the patch can be edited/resaved in Battery if needed. Also, I really liked the Keys mode, where the pads are mapped to 3octaves of notes.
Great overall controller, I haven’t tested all its features, but I look forward to using it more and more! Thanks for reading, wishing you all the best![<3 <3](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/heart.png)
btw BeatStep also works fine with FL Studio and the solution is much cheaper, though a little bit minimal![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Thanks @mannix
I’ve been hearing about beatstep a lot around here...thanks for the video looks like it could be tons o’ fun
I was wondering about whether Fire feels well integrated with the fun parts of FL (sequencer, live stuff on keys, performance mode) and I’m hearing a yes from you. Damnit might have to go there now
Beatstep can also be fun with an iPad, loads of videos on YT. Beatstep Pro seems also good with iPad, but somehow there's problems with FL Studio. Also note that Beatstep is quality build, this means quite heavy![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Launchpad Pro is supposed to be pretty bomb with FLS, isn’t it? I think I’d go with something more generic than the Fire. Maybe.
If you haven’t tried the ILRemote app, you have been missing out on something very special ... and free.

Thanks for this -
I used the iOS app before I really clicked with FL. But as I recall - I have FL on surface pro 3 - the two tablets together were a blast when I tried em. For some reason I also got a weird guilt feeling go figure. Two tablets
