All I say is hubris begets nemesis. Hasn't anyone been reading that fake newspaper the New York Times? Oh, sorry, I was referring to Martha Stewart.
@bedheadproducer : DUDE! LMFAO, great comment
No, I guess you can't.
No such thing as someone running for President that ISN’T a narcissist . I voted for Obama the first time and you can’t be any more in love with yourself than he seemed to be . He’s a “narcissist” if you don’t like him.
@bedheadproducer : I won’t mention politics anymore either if you guys won’t . But what you said was stated very well. He was my last choice but perhaps he’s a “Man for these times”, like Emporer Claudius , another man who seemed erratic, and off the rails at times ... This article draws a remarkable comparison..
http://victorhanson.com/wordpress/trump-our-claudius/
P.S- I NEVER, EVER INITIATE political conversations of any sort on this forum.
@LinearLineman : I bought a workstation too last October, a Korg Kross 2. But I dunno it’s handy . It runs in batteries and if I come up w something I like , I can grab it onto the two track audio recorder, not to mention a built in audio interface for the iPad. . The FA07 has a really nice sequencer and thos Free onli e sounds . I can see it being a nice compliment to iOS.
I‘ve been ridiculed by my „friends“ for the longest time, because I started using iPads. It couldn‘t be any good, just because. Thus I have learned to be quiet and humble, doing what I am doing. Nobody cares WHAT you make your music with, and it‘s okay, as long as you‘re happy (I guess)...keep it up.
I still laugh when people buy an expensive drum machine that needs power cords, audio cords, midi cords, desk space, and then they realize it's a Bitch to program and the sounds suck without external effects.... So it's back to the bank to buy even more Gear.... Then in a year it's at the pawn shop cuz they want the next best thing....I just say, you spent more on cables for one of your pieces than I did for about 3 great synth apps 😂 and when I updated my last synth it cost 15$ or less... or free...
I used to be obsessed with gear, trying to find stuff that played well together and sounded good and was fun to use... But then... IOS..... I sold my op1 for more than I paid for it...and it alone covered my new iPad and a bunch of apps that sound way better than those cheesy op1 synths... so then I sold everything else and got more apps haha haven't looked back once...
Really? Obama worse narcissist than Trump?
Sure, if you watch Faux News, I suppose.
Oh, here we go..”Feaux News”—Gee, now THAT’S original.. and what news source do you watch? An unbiased one, I’m sure .. How exactly do you measure narcissism? What exactly are your qualifications the mental health field to make such a diagnosis? If you think the two are that different in that regard , this single page article compares the two in a way you might find surprising. BTW , I never said one was a “worse narcissist “ than the other . I said it’s hard to imagine someone without strong narcissistic tendencies running for the office of the president . Beyond that I’m not qualified nor am I DSMV conversant enough to measure comparative levels of narcissism.

There is some real Neanderthal level humour in this thread, for shame, for shame.![;) ;)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
@Telstar5 , yes, the FA07 is an excellent keyboard. I researched a lot before I got it and, for me, it was best in its price class. If I had had it a long time and it was anFA06 I would have kept it to complement the Kawai MP11 ( which has an overdubbing recorder and wav and MP4 recording to USB). But trading it eased the financial outlay and I don't really have the space....
I also have a Casio AT5 for entertaining my wife with middle eastern rhythms and instrumental hoopla (is that a Turkish word?). If I ever need to record with a synth action I can use that. So I'm good and won't miss the Roland,
@LinearLineman : I played the Kawai MP11 and it is a joy to play. Can’t beat it .. I almost bought it
Omg....too funny. I have more female friends than guys, so maybe blowing the few occasional kisses, but yeah, NO.
And here I thought I was being risque with my blowjob comment earlier...I love how this thread goes from music to raunchy humor, politics and back around again. Who would have thunk..I thought this was gonna sink to the bottom quick...lol
thanks for that. I think if I changed the title, they would ban me...lol
lol, you are 100 percent right. In fact, nobody cares if you have a bitchin' Ipad, an expensive/new/fast car, a hot GF, a big house, or anything that might bring you tremendous pleasure. I have always laughed when I'm somewhere and a friend comes running in and says," Dude! Check out my new car, you gotta come outside and see it". I used to go out and look for the token "Cool Man!" but now I just say"hey man, I'm happy for you that you are happy, but I don't care about any new cars unless they are my new car. Just sayin'" That's not a character flaw, it's called conservative caring. You care about shit that makes a difference in your life. So I stopped bragging about anything new I get to anyone, unless I really think it's affordable and their life would be better having one too, but generally all you might do in a worse case scenario is breed resentment and envy, best case scenerio...apathy. In this case though, I'm using shit they have already.....so I'm not bragging my phone is better....I'm just showing them what I'm working hard on , hehe, I just said hardon....... anyway and trying to inspire a little gumption to do more. That my motto in life...always do more, learn more, be more, act more, plan less, and jump in head first when everything is telling you no...it's not good enough, I'm not good enough, it's not the right time....etc etc. All bullshit excuses to not challenge oneself. Getting out of your comfort zone is the number one way to discover new things you might also be good at. If you don't, you'll never know that maybe your are a destined to be a better golf player than Tiger woods. Just sayin.
@JeffChasteen
Ok, let's forget we are talking about our president . At one point I was under the impression that a sociopath is incapable of feeling and so they pretend to feel in order to not be a total outcast, but I believe what most people believe to be sociopathic behavior is in fact psychopathic behavior. a sociopath by definition is:
"a person with a personality disorder manifesting itself in extreme antisocial attitudes and behavior and a lack of conscience."
So I don't think an antisocial person is likely to seek the limelight. They try to skate by unnoticed. I also don't think being president is a lower pressure job you sign up for unless somewhere in your heart you believe you can make a difference and at least help part of the population that you can identify with.
But the cost is huge. You are likely to have someone try to kill you, you will never be able to go anywhere ever again without protection, you lose almost all privacy and are constantly under extreme scrutiny. I think it ages a person more than being on the road in a tour bus.
Now if he was a psychopath, he would do horrendous shit with his power and not care at all what anyone things. I believe this man cares too much what people think about him. It's one of the things that makes him defensive and lash out. A person who doesn't care what others think doesn't feel the need to respond to criticisms viciously or otherwise. I think most people care about what others think, but I've seen people that don't care at all and they don't act like Trump.
They do their own thing, don't talk about it and laugh at the naysayers....they have a confidence or ego that Trump doesn't have. I believe Trump is a fake it until you make it kind of guy. The kind of bragging he does is most often overcompensation for the fact someone doesn't think that highly of himself deep down. Most people are incapable of being as confident as he pretends to be. And those that are, usually don't make a display about it. They glide through life telling almost no one of their plans.
That's what probably drove him to become president....so he could maybe feel confident and good about himself in his golden years. He's just a human being, whose essence has been distorted by his life experiences, trying to find himself, the inner child before it was stretched into who he is now, and I believe this is pretty much a universal human thing, part of our journey in this life....his just happens to be in front of everyone.
hey , do you not check your messages on here? ive been trying to reach you
Preach 🙌
@bedheadproducer : No,how do I check my messages on here? I wouldn’t ignore you... I’m a bit tied up at the moment.. I’ll check a bit later
Uodate: Yeah, I just saw.. Sorry ‘bout that, mate. I’ll get back to you later today at my first convenience.. thanks for reaching out!
It is possible that he may deservedly find himself in prison. The place where many sociopaths ultimately find themselves. There he can delusionally continue to think he is sending out his insane and subliterate tweets while frantically grasping a cellophane wrapped package of Ramen in his tiny, child-sized hands.
Ok, this will be my last post re the president in this thread. I already have Facebook for weighty political analysis coming from musicians . Removed from office? Highly unlikely and here folks, this guy says it a lot clearer than I ever could. Prison?!? LMAO , don’t hold your breath, kiddies... Now back to that Gadget discussion..
New York State charges concerning decades of Russian money laundering and improprieties in the Trump Foundation have nothing to do with impeachment.
By the way, the late Mr Buckley's rag is hardly an objective source.
yeah, it's time we stop this. Unfortunately these days, if you give anyone like Trump any kind of benefit of the doubt, even if you don't endorse his behavior, you are quickly labeled the enemy and lumped in with the Nascar loving south whose only logic is "he's one of us" When in actuality, he has less in common with the working class than any president we've ever had. Yet he still desires to be a champion for them, whether he accomplishes any goals in their favor or not. You completely dismissed my analysis of the actual clinical psychosis of psychopaths in favor of espousing your opinion of what a bad man he is. If he is a true sociopath, then A. that's not his fault. That's a disorder...people don't choose to be sociopaths, and we put those people in mental institutions when they fuck up..not prison. But I don't believe he is. Nobody here is endorsing the man. In fact the first things I said were negative things about his character. And if he is a sociopath, as you say, he as been all along and we put him on the throne....what does that say about us as a society? The politicians want what's going on...this divisiveness. This allows them to keep doing what is in their interest while we squabble among ourselves, when in truth, our ideals are probably similar, which is that most of us want compassionate people representing us in government, that realize life is hard for the common person...a struggle at best. We all strive for one thing....free time to enjoy life with our friends and loved ones, free from the concerns of financial instability. The reality is most people get very little of what they strive for and we are and army of worker ants, making the queen(the establishment) fat, lazy and corrupt. I'm on your side, as a human being. I have no political agenda. I'm sure Telstar5 and the other folks are much more like you than like Trump, any government official, any outspoken movie star or rock star. Let's be kind to one another. If any of our opinions are skewed or warped and could benefit from enlightenment, that's not going to happen by firing off venom and contempt at each other for our supposed "wrongness" Jim Carey recently said something I admire. He is very anti Trump but he said, he believes he could hang out with, be kind to and find a way to relate to anyone, even Trump supporters, that they are not the enemy. Love goes a lot further than hate my friend. We need to unite and put ALL the perspectives on the table without shooting darts. You have to believe that human nature is when things are presented with compassion, seeds will be planted and contemplation will take place. You can't change the world to fall in line with your ideals, no matter who you are, but if you are kind, most people will lift you up or run over to help you if you do happen to fall and need a helping hand....which is all of us at one time or another. This anger...this finger pointing, this lack of compassion for people with different ideas than our own needs to stop. We just need a whole lot more love and not continue letting the establishment divide us like this when we should all be on the same side, left, right, in the middle....none of that matters. What matters is that we the people care for ourselves, for one another, as a whole, as a human race, as if Aliens were trying to attack us, instead of having no unity and constantly verbally at war. Love you bro!!!![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
@Telstar5
Erm, whatever dude.
Go back to Facebook.
You are completely wrong. Psychopathy is not considered "insanity" under US law. Sociopaths are not hospitalized; when they transgress against others, they are incarcerated. I actually work in the field.
Also, what is with this "we put him on the throne"?
I am neither a game show fan nor a TrumpRube.
Along with countless others, I have known that Trump is a boorish two-bit grifter for decades.
@jedfchasteen thank you for your perspective .![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
So do you mind if we get back to talking about IOS stuff . I will never talk about religion or politics on here again . There are other forums for that and I’d rather meet you and others on common ground ... like our love for iOS music stuff
@JeffChasteen : Ok, one more.. What IS an objective source? The closest one I can think of is “France 24”. The New York Times is biased as is the entire MSM .. So the NR is a “rag” to you just like “Vox” is to me. But your critique didn’t mean anything because Victor Davis Hanson is one of the greatest writers anywhere. Caling l NR a “rag” is intellectually lazy. How about telling us which part of the article you don’t agree with and why , before we continue to turn this forum into Facebook, resplete with armchair psychiatrists and muso-wannabe-political pundits and experts? . That’s why I posted those short articles. Hanson knows what he is talking about .. Me, not so much.. The difference is, I know it and admit it . So please point out one single place where Hanson is wrong.
I’ll let the internet geniuses and know -it-all’s commence...
