    Hmmm, this is a pretty sweet beats sample pack in and of itself for Egoist, BM3 and Abu Dhabi etc...

    Even if you don't have a PC you could drop the 4$, download the zip and extract the goods to Audioshare. Some very useful loops here for BM3, Blocs, Egoist, Patterning, Abu Dahbi etc...

    @kobamoto Thanks! Really useful vid. I was getting some interesting results pressing random buttons, but now i know what some of them do. :)

    One thing i did discover that's not covered in the video is that (in Ableton, Win 10) you can drag your own samples directly from the sample folders in your browser into any of the sample players in Cataract. Then if you use the forward or back arrows at the end of each one, it will scroll to the previous (or next) sample in your library for that sample player independent of the others. Really useful for quickly getting something going.....add some dub delay & some reverb, mess with the controls, & you got something cooking real quick!

    How are you getting on with this one - useful at all? Sounds a bit Aphex Twin from the demo's I've heard, not a bad thing...

    Great fun, like all their stuff. I particularly like dragging my own samples into it for mangling to oblivion! :) Trying to do some dubby, glitchy, mangled stuff with a straight beat underneath, dunno whether any of it will ever make it into a "finished" thing, but it's a fun & interesting journey nonetheless..........99% of my experiments with everything end up on the cutting room floor, but that's OK..................yes it is a bit Aphex Twin, which is definitely not a bad thing...... :)

    BTW i haven't got round to listening to your Radnor forest project yet. I dipped into the first track, but want to listen to the whole thing in one go, nice & chilled on the sofa. I spent some time living around that way many moons ago......i wonder if it will evoke memories of those times.............also whatever happened to PAP? That no expense spared artwork was supposed to be a joke!!!!!!! (kind of got lost in translation tho!) B)
