Best app to play keyboard chords with your foot?
Hi,
I play in a band of 3 people and we have no keyboard player. I am a guitarist and I wondered if I could use an app on Android preferably (or iPad if none exists) that would enable me to play a sequence of chords with a foot controller of some sort.
We play songs of 4 or 5 minutes and each contains a sequence of chords. I need to preprogram the chain of chords for each entire song and go from one chord to the next at the press of a single button.
I need a user-friendly system to use to be able to concentrate on the guitar.
Have you any experience with that? Thank you.
Cheers

Dream foot is one. I can’t link to the app on my phone but here’s the website with the app link https://www.dreamfootexperience.com/musicapp
On iOS there’s also ChordPolyPad and Navichord.
You could also use any oldschool DJ sampler like a Roland MS-1, SP-404, Yamaha SU-10, Zoom Sampletrak, Boss SP-303 etc and use a MIDI foot pedal to trigger the sampled chords. The advantage is that you don't depend on any sound generator live, you could even sample your own guitar chords and solo over them or record a brass section, whatever.
Or use an old iPad 1 in an Alesis io/dock 1 or an old iPhone 4 with an iRig MIDI attached plus NanoStudio 1 for all the chord samples.

Man, I didn't think about barefoot touch screen operation - much easier to set up, and finally I know what the holes in our socks are for
Or GroupTheLoop (GTL) for iPad and get benefeit of its song structure feature and load next/previous song from midi command (suitable for pedal obviously)
Thanks for this hint! Didn’t know this app. But it looks very well implemented.
It’s a great unknown but it worths the chance. It’s going to surprise you for sure.
I will give it a try! Looks very promising. Thanks again!
