AUM feature request - channel fader maximum level lock
@j_liljedahl Something that would really help with live mixing and live performance in AUM would be the ability to lock the fader’s maximum level to certain values per channel in a session. That way you could get all of your levels tested before hand and then when doing the live mix you would not accidentally nudge a level too high.
Thx!

The other thing this will allow you to do is very fast channel fades - crossfader style.
I know this isn’t what you’re asking for, but as a workaround you could send your channels of interest to a mix bus > set that bus channel's max volume to your overall safety limit, then you could go wild with the routed channels and not have to worry if you push one too far. Just calibrate the mix bus volume accordingly. Not the same, but a tad bit more safety than running around naked with no chaperone.
There's already a way to do this: Use the GAIN insert node. You can then adjust it to get your maximum level of choice when the fader is at max position.
Genius! So max your faders and use gain control? Ha, never thought of that!
Thank you! 👍
