@Briandandrig I’ve used this one for several years now without issue: http://cablejive.com/prod/dockXtenderL.html

Hello, yes it works fine still on my setup with latest iPadOS.

Not sure what you mean by reducing charge time? At a guess, I’d suggest it has no effect on charge time since it just lets power and data pass through it, but I only use it when hooking up to my audio interface. It does let the iPad charge up during that use, but I’ve not compared it to charging without the extension lead.

  • Great, cheers dude :-)

I’ve never had mine disconnect and I don’t even have an official apple one, I have the cheaper Amazon Basics one. Maybe give that a try?
Also take a toothpick or something and clean the lint out of the port, that can cause weak connections.

Good way to ruin any chance of a replacement if you damage the contacts 😳 talking from experience 😢 .....
the cheap connections are hit and miss .... If you can afford to buy Apple first time do it, or run the gauntlet of cheap n cheerful Vs cheap n crappy ...

When ever using the cheap versions make sure you plug in , in the right sequence... Usually mouse before power in my experience...

  • My issue was about the cck with heavy cables hanging off the side and pulling on the lightening port.

A simple extension solved that (but I think slowed charging) no idea why. Cheap lead probably.

  • Maybe you should look at it with marketing eyes.

“Suffering from reduced charging times? Buy this product and Double your charging time!”

  • tried one of these today and couldnt get it to power up my launchpad pro via my hub. I got a 10 foot one.
