Komp

I’m very new at music notation. I use MuseScore (iMac) and Notion (iPad).
I love Notion - it sounds better than MuseScore but I’m learning jazz piano and Notion is very frustrating. It does nearly everything I want for notation (except appioggatura) but it seems poorly designed for entering jazz chords. E.g. I cannot find anyway to enter Am(#7)/G nor even a basic Fmaj. So this morning I downloaded Komp and it was delightfully simple to enter chords. Just type them in step by step. I don’t have an Apple Pencil to try note entry but I think I’ll head out and get one. This App looks so promising and simple to use.
I’m just a little worried about some of the comments here about notes “disappearing” That’s a worry.

Kind regards.

  • Didn’t know about that one. I’ve enjoyed using Stave n’Tabs on my devices before now. I really like musescore on my laptop as I can control hardware with it and sync it with my DAW at the same time.
