Blocs Wave constantly crashing after importing from AudioShare.
I am finding that Blocs Wave is crashing following importing audio from AudioShare. Everything just freezes and it will not play. Anyone else having the same problem?

Forgot to mention. iPad Air2 running 12.0
I have also just noticed- t will not launch in Audiobus 2 or 3 either.
Yes it’s a bad bug they admit not being able to fix yet...
In fact, audio engine freezes when you go to background with transport stopped in Blocswave, which can happens when you import/export.
The workaround they have given is this one: with transport stopped, go to background with a home button tap, then go back to Blocswave and tap play. That should works :-)
This is really annoying to be honest, as this bug happens really often. I have some difficulties understanding such companies not fixing those kind of bugs. Same applies with BeatHawk from UVI which is really full of issues. For both apps lot of us have buyed lot of iaps so that’s not cool at all.
Import using Files app instead ? You can still get to your audioshare files through there so no extra steps required.
OK thanks for that. How long has the bug been there?
I remember a member here who has it on iOS11, in my case noticed it on iOS12 but I hadn’t used BW between June and September of this year, so perhaps this bug is really here since a while.
Sorry- it does seem to be working in Audiobus- I think I had it deleted whilst trying to launch it- oops. @Janosax solution seems to work ok for the time being.
Good idea- thanks- but does not work I’m afraid.... still at least I’ve learned how to use the files app 🙂
I have imported from files app with no problem. Hmmm. Is it only files from AudioShare location that are not working ?
If you’re quick enough there is no issues. Try to stop Blocswave, go to background with home button and do something else with some other apps for one minute, BW should freeze. But perhaps not all devices have the issues.
Ahh, so is the crash to do with the going to background and nothing to do with Import ?
Yes it’s a only a background issue. Every users should send a mail about this issue to [email protected]
Hmmm, I haven't had this happen to me, and I use BW in background a lot.
You’re lucky and certainly have a configuration which avoid it. What’s your device? Amplify has given me the workaround by mail, so they’re aware of the issue.
By experimenting I have found that it seems to work/import ok if it is actually playing at the time. Can you give this a go to see what you think @Janosax ?
Yes the issue is only there if transport is stopped in Blocswave and the app is in background.
So it’s better to mute loops if some monitoring without BW is needed at time.
Ahh ok, that is how I tend to work, as a result of not wanting to mess with link phase once I've got it started
Yes and that can be when possible soloing a blank loop or switching to a blank section, to avoid muting up to 8 loops!
