App for editing WAV files; reducing bitrate?

I have a Volca Sample, and after putting it down tomorrow, I'm looking to load it back up with samples and start using it again to use with a Volca Mix I have arriving tomorrow.

However, after reading up on the different options for doing this, I noticed that I might have been doing it "wrong" all along. The samples for Volca Sample are supposed to be in mono and 31.5k sample rate. Mentioned here:

What's the best iOS app or, if necessary, Windows solution to downconvert .wav files? I'm sure I was throwing stereo samples at it in the past, let alone samples with much higher sample rate.

Audioshare gets close - you can save to WAV, but the options are 8, 11, 22, 44, 48, and 96k.

TwistedWave has some cool editing options, but I didn't see how to save at different sample rates.

There are some websites that you can upload files to and it will convert at different sample rates, including 32k. Anything out there you would use for that? Thanks!

Comments

  • Try Twisted Wave's "Convert Sample Rate" if 32k is OK?

  • In Twistedwave go into effects menu and scroll to the end of the list and you should see
    Convert Sampling Rate
    Convert to Mono/Stereo
